Anything Goes... include some Lime Green

The new theme is posted at Tag Tuesday. Your tag may be anything you want, but make sure to include some lime green color.

My tag was covered with Basic Grey's "Lime Rickey" paper and then I stapled on a strip of lime green trim. A bit of patterned paper under the black car, the red car on top of the trim and the yellow taxi at the bottom. I've had these pedal car stickers in my stash forever!!

Gecko Galz Cards

Hi, today I am sharing two Christmas cards I made for Gecko Galz. Both cards use beautiful GG images and papers.

The first card features a Santa Claus image from the Santa Clause Lane collage set. I die cut Santa in an oval shape and then die cut the next size oval from the Merry and Bright paper pack to put behind him. The background paper is "Istanbul" from the Great Adventure paper pack. The corners were punched with a Martha Stewart corner punch. The word Joy was die cut and all were layered onto a piece of red cardstock on a white card base. The doilies and flower are from my stash.

The second card features an image from the Christmas Dreams collage sheet. I die cut the image and two background pieces (from blue cardstock) and layered them to a white card base. Snowflakes were punched from Gecko Galz papers, a branch was die cut in white, the word strip and flowers from my stash were all added to the card.

Check out the Gecko Galz Etsy shop for these and many other wonderful Christmas items.

Music

Can you believe that 2 weeks have flown by? It's time for a new theme at Tag Tuesday. This time it was chosen by Michele and is "Music". I'm sharing my first tag below.

One of my favorite Disney songs is "When You Wish Upon a Star". I used a piece of artist paper from Stampington and added a die cut moon, little girl from Tim Holtz, gold vellum star and a sticker from my stash that happened to have the song title words. I also stamped on some music notes at the bottom and tied a ribbon at the top.

Thanks for stopping by today! We'd love it if you would join us at Tag Tuesday and link up a music tag.

A Spooky Tag

Hi! I'm here to share another tag for Tag Tuesday's Autumn/Halloween theme. I used Tim Holtz paper to cover a manila tag. Then I inked the edges with Blackbird chalk ink. Next I sized and fussy cut a Gecko Galz image and pop dotted it to the tag. A flourish was stamped above the boys' heads. I added the word Spooky (cut from a Tim Holtz flashcard), the moon and an owl (which are die cuts from Tim Holtz).

Thanks for stopping by - enjoy your day!

A Boo-tiful Halloween to You!

Hi! Today I'd like to share a Halloween card I made for Gecko Galz.

The witch image was sized and fussy cut. She's from the "Bootiful Halloween" collage sheet, as are the words which I cut and backed on black cardstock. The green background paper is called "Witch's Potion" from the Hocus Pocus paper pack. The black paper is from the Arsenic and Lace paper pack. The trims, flowers and orange mulberry paper are from my stash.

We have a new theme at Tag Tuesday - Autumn/Halloween. I made a tag for each, which I'm sharing below.

The background of this autumn tag was made with spray inks. I stamped large leaves and then layered on a bird die cut and flowers from my stash. A piece of ribbon with the words "Autumn Splendor" was stapled onto the tag with the Tim Holtz tiny attacher. Finally, ribbon was tied into a bow at the top.

The second tag was made using Tim Holtz Halloween paper for the background. I stamped some random dots with purple ink onto the background. I also stamped the small gravestones across the bottom of the tag. Next I layered on a Bingo card die cut, 2 doilies and a skeleton die cut, pop dotting the skeleton. A piece of ribbon was added to the top along with the eye die cut. (All die cuts are from Tim Holtz).

Fabulous Fall

Today I am sharing my Gecko Galz projects for September. First up is a tag, which was sprayed with Tattered Angels ink sprays. The ear of corn image is from the "Harvest Time" collage sheet by Gecko Galz. The turkey is from the "Thankful for Fall" Jewel It sheet. The brown leaves are die cut from Gecko Galz paper. The rest of the items are from my stash.

Next up is a Thanksgiving card, using Gecko Galz papers from the Autumn Colors pack and the Gypsy Market papers. I cut the paper into 1.5" squares and attached them to a card base. The image is from the "Thanksgiving Memories" collage sheet. Final touches were a flower with a button center and the word Thankful which was cut from the "Thankful for Fall" Jewel It sheet.

My final project is a pumpkin card. The pumpkin was die cut with the "Montegue" paper (from the Star Crossed paper pack). The background paper is from the "Autumn Harvest" paper pack and the large leaf is the "Thanksgiving" paper (from the Mayflower paper pack) The small leaves were punched out of paper scraps from my stash. The word sticker is also from my stash.

By the Shore

The Gecko Galz customer challenge this month is "By the Shore". I made two cards for this theme and I'd like to share them with you.

The first card uses an image from Sea Side Icons. The image was sized, fussy cut and layered over a background oval, which I die cut out of "Beach Front" paper (By the Shore paper pack). I cut a second image of the girl and pop dotted her over the girl in the shell. I added a small doily behind her head first. The word "love" is punched from a Teresa Collins punch. I also added two small blue flowers above the word love. The card base is white.

The second card uses an image from the "Cuties by the Shore" collage sheet. The background paper is "In Marble Halls" which was embossed with a bubbles embossing folder. I added the Hello word sticker and some die cut seashells to the card. The card base is blue.

Next I have two cards made with images from the "Paper Lanterns" collage sheets. Background papers are from the Gypsy Market paper pack. Both card bases are white.

Use Your Scraps

I made another tag for Tag Tuesday's theme of Use Your Scraps. I have so many scraps that I keep them in a ten drawer cart. The drawers are organized by color - pink, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, brown, black and gray. The drawers are pretty full because I love to keep even the tiniest bits of paper!

For this tag, I made a grid style with the paper scraps. I added items from my stash and used colored pencils on the flowers and to outline the bird.

New Theme!!

We have a new theme at Tag Tuesday - Use Your Scraps. It can be paper scraps, ribbon scraps, images - just about any bits and bobs you've saved. Please link up a tag here and check out the nice prize you might win.

I clean my rubber stamps by stamping them onto scrap paper to get rid of excess ink. The background of this tag is made from a feather stamp. The birds are ripped from an old bird book. The word strip is from Tim Holtz. For the final touches, I added the blue heart and kraft bow.

In a Mermaid's Garden

Hi, I have three cards to share that I made using Gecko Galz products. Our customer challenge theme for this month is all about mermaids. There is still time to join us and possibly win a prize! Just click here and you will be linked to all the contest details.

My first card features a lovely GG mermaid image that I printed and then fussy cut. The oval shape is die cut from Fizzy Water which is from the By the Shore paper pack. Striped paper from the Sea Side paper pack was used for the background. The corners were punched with a Martha Stewart punch. The seahorse and coral were printed and then fussy cut from Sea Side Icons. All the pieces were layered onto a white card base.

Next I made two travel themed cards. The first is Amsterdam. Using the Roads Less Traveled collage set, I enlarged the Amsterdam image and adhered it to a red card base. The Dutch girl is from the Little Ladies from Around the World collage set. I die cut her and offset her onto the card. Finally, I added the words "Wish You Were Here", which is a wooden sticker from my stash.

For the second travel themed card I printed the Greece image from the Roads Less Traveled set and then layered it onto the Greece paper from the Great Adventure paper pack. Those two pieces were attached to cardboard and then a white card base. The final touch was the Greek statue (which I sized and fussy cut) from the Apothecary Labels collage set.

Back again...

with another Cake tag to share! When I was a child, my father used to sing these words - "If I knew you were coming, I'd have baked a cake." He sang those words over and over. I thought he made it up. The other day I looked online and found out that it's an actual song from the 1950's!! It was really popular then.

I used background paper from Gecko Galz on the tag. It's called "Take the Cake" from the Kitchy Kool paper set. I added yellow Stickles to the candle flames. I printed out the words and then outlined around them with a blue gel pen. The heart is from my stash. The edges of the tag were inked with brown chalk ink.

Happy July!!

I picked the theme "The Beach" for Tag Tuesday's challenge this time. Here are the tags I made.

My first tag is made with Gecko Galz images for the background and the little boy. I stamped the anchor in blue, the edges of the tag in brown, added brown ribbon and a Tim Holtz phrase sticker.

The second tag has a background made with Distress Oxide inks. I stamped the seaweed with Ranger Archival ink. The fish was stamped and then fussy cut. Both the crab die cut and the fish were pop dotted to the tag. Finally, I stamped bubbles coming out of the fish's mouth.

Please join us and link a Beach tag to Tag Tuesday. We'd love to have you!

More Texture

I made another tag for the Texture theme at Tag Tuesday. I call it "2 heads are better than one".

I began by covering a #8 size tag with orange Basic Grey paper. I then added a strip of BG material. I tore a strip of cardboard and adhered it to the tag. I layered an old piece of stamped paper on top of that, a few staples, some pink dyed tissue paper, metal number 2 and german scrap to trim the bottom of the tag. The two faces were added last. One is a paper clay face and the other is a stamped phrenology head with added wings.
